It took a bit of hacking, but I have managed to use the tantan-flickr plugin so that I you can see my flickr pics on the blog. I have changed the link on the left to point to them, instead of flickr itself.

It seems that if you need the time you can still ask a policeman, but don’t go snapping them with a camera else you will find yourself in Jail. Another draconian law has been passed that allow the arrest and imprisonment of anyone taking pictures ‘likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing for an act of terrorism’. Its closer to 1984 day by day.

This photoset is by Marcus Koppen, you can find more of the same and other genres on his website. I don’t know how he has managed to capture the light and the dynamics and what is even more unbelievable is they were all taken on film not digital.

It’s probably only of interest to you photographers out there, and the film ones t’boot, that I have been trialing some Kodak and Fuji film. I have been comparing Kodak Portra 160NC and Fujicolor 160C professional 35mm films in a various range of situations. I have found that the Fuji comes out as a bit blue for my liking, I prefer the warmer colours of the Kodak which also likes a 1/2 stop of extra exposure to help with saturation. Have a look at my Fickr stream and see what you think.

I know Surrey has a waterfall at Virgina Water, but that always seemed a bit false to me. However I noticed in my Surrey book of walks that a waterfall was marked near Friday Street. So during one of my weekend treks I passed by. I think it still is man made, but a nice little surprise off the Greensands Way. I took some photos, one of my digital ones is here. Hope you like it

I was trying to think of all the films that I have seen that have had a connection with photography. I came up with these, I am sure there must be more, so if you know of any, let me know.
