I think participating in Earth Hour to highlight the effects of global warming is a great idea. It is being held on March 28th at 8:30pm worldwide and is asking people to switch off all their lights for one hour. Apparently Boris Johnson is going to sit in a state of ‘tranquil calm’, that’s something I would like to see For more details watch this clip on YouTube.

I found this guide on the web, which shows you how to tie a tie (is that how you say it ?) in four different ways. Useful for those posh functions we all attend. However is seems the ‘Four in Hand’ method (ooo-err missus) which 80% of us blokes use, is a bit of a faux pas in the tie world.

I was saddened today. On a trip to London, I dropped into a famous toy store. I remembered from my childhood what an adventure it was to visit there at Christmas. I suppose its not surprising that it looked a lot smaller than I remember, however the most depressing thing was the items on sale. The shop appeared to be filled with rows and rows of plastic toys and figures linked with Movies or Television programs. Very few things seemed the slightest bit educational. Surely we owe it to our children to stimulate their imagination, not just spoon feed them with tacky advertising gimmicks.

Oh boy, I wondered when this was going to come out. It would be great to stay somewhere with one of these, mind you who knows what the rate would be !
