Twilight not Midnight

BatmanI finally saw The Dark Knight, at the IMAX no less, and all things considered, I have to say I was a tad disappointed with the film. Maybe I was expecting too much from all the hype, when it shone, it really shone, thanks to Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, but boy did it suck like a lemon in some parts. I wanted this movie to live up to the dark nature it should have been, but at too many places the ‘Hollywoodness’ dripped though.

It could have been 30 minutes shorter and cut out a lot of the Harvey Dent story, boy that bloke can’t act, and as for the female attorney, she was more annoying than Cathrine Tate in Dr Who. Oh yes, the ‘Mummy’ make up for the burns made me laugh so much every time it appeared, whoever thought that up should have been blown up as well.

All told an entertaining film but one that did not do the real actors any justice.

RIP

PeugeotAfter an intense battle, and not wishing to give up, I am sorry to report that the Pug has finally died and cannot be revived :( With problems earlier last month and outside (RAC) assistance used, the prognosis was not good. It appears that the stress was too much and it’s heart has now given out. It has been a great time together, with many memories, up’s and downs, it will be sad to see it go.
Still it is not all doom gloom as as it’s little brother will be joining me soon, I already have some ideas to help it along, if you know what I mean :)
