Tinted

It’s probably only of interest to you photographers out there, and the film ones t’boot, that I have been trialing some Kodak and Fuji film. I have been comparing Kodak Portra 160NC and Fujicolor 160C professional 35mm films in a various range of situations. I have found that the Fuji comes out as a bit blue for my liking, I prefer the warmer colours of the Kodak which also likes a 1/2 stop of extra exposure to help with saturation. Have a look at my Fickr stream and see what you think.

One Door

I am sorry to say that I have given up on Dr Who, David Tennent’s new partner is just too grating, and has spoilt every episode for me. Instead I have turned to Wild China on BBC2. Unlike the disappointment of Michael Palin’s Europe, this series is amazing. It covers different areas of this vast landscape, with stunning photography and a captivating narration. I have listed below the six episodes that make up the series. The DVD can be pre-ordered via the BBC.

  • Heart of the Dragon
  • Shangri La
  • Tibet
  • Beyond the Great Wall
  • Land of the Panda
  • Tides of Change

if you are travelling OneBag is a really useful resourse. It has tips on what to leave in, and what to take out of your suitcase, when you are off on your hols. The checklists are also useful to stop those ‘Oh No’ moments :)

I didn’t know that Placebo had covered Running Up That Hill, previously sung by Kate Bush. You can find the official video on YouTube. I think it stands up on its own, a nice twist on a classic song.

I came across this travel video of the Philippines using a new application called Miro. It is really strange seeing places and sights that you have experienced in real life. I thought I would share it with my fans, lol. Enjoy
P.S. If you ever think of visiting, I am available for free consultation :)
